Let your ideas flow.
Fountain Pens are the quintessential writing tool, an item to be cherished and passed down through generations. The Wingback Fountain Pen embodies these values and is made to let ideas flow for the designers, illustrators, writers, poets, musicians, and artists of today, and tomorrow. Following the design principles that earned our previous creation, the Designer's Mechanical Pencil, a coveted Red Dot award, it is engineered to encourage more time and consideration to be taken with every pen stroke. A wide diameter barrel helps reduce writing fatigue, a diamond knurled grip provides reassuring control, and the satisfying weight of its materials ensures an even balance, whether used uncapped, for quick note-taking and sketching on the go, or posted for more precise, detailed writing and annotating.
Metal: Made from a solid block of aerospace-grade stainless steel, brass or titanium, CNC machined in Birmingham, England under BS EN AS 9100 accreditation.
Cartridge: Includes a 38mm (1.5 inches) international standard ink cartridge.
Sleeve: Waxed cotton sleeve from Halley Stevensons in Scotland.
Finish: Laser engraved, assembled by hand and packaged in London, UK.
Dimensions: Diameter: 9.9mm / 0.39' | Full length (capped): 117m | Unposted, uncapped: 95mm | Posted: 138mm , 50g (1.76 oz) weight
Cartridge: Fits any 38mm international standard cartridge.
Engraving: All inscriptions are in capital letters and run along the length of the barrel.
Considerations: Brass will develop a unique patina as its surface oxidises and interacts with the natural oils in your skin. This pen will quickly look like a timeless tool, but can easily be polished back to its original lustre by following these simple steps.
Instead of using a cartridge, it is possible to fill the barrel of the pen directly with ink using the eyedropper technique. It is advisable to use a neutral ink with a PH value closer to 7. Please see a guide for eyedroppering here.
